Just sharing my Edupreneur Journey: the joy with my big win today — from classroom to global seller! After weeks of processing documents with the Amazon Global Selling staff related to JETRO (Japan External Trading Organization), all my accounts are cleared now. Ready to face new challenges in the global market. Hope to share soon how one can level up from classroom to global selling with original products (Private Labels with Brand Registry) via Amazon and other marketplaces.
As of the moment, OLIVES, Inc. has 17 originally-designed products since 2021. Currently, I’m working on the Olives Project 2024 focused on Japanese Manhole replicas in collaboration with the city halls and prefectural offices throughout Japan. Other than Amazon, I’m open to wholesalers and resellers now who can sell my original products on whatever platform they use.
It’s been a joy and a challenge to design original products: from searching for unique items to designing for mass production and then marketing them. The inspiration is more of appreciation for Japan’s unique culture and expression of my gratitude as my host country for more than 30 years now. It’s amazing how Amazon Japan and JETRO are helping me realize the dream to go global.
Above is a screenshot from my Amazon Seller’s account which depicts the 14 marketplaces. Hope to focus more on this endeavor after completing the Olives Project 2014: Japan Manhole Cover Souvenir Fridge Magnets/Coasters.
AMAZON’S GLOBAL SELLING PROGRAM
Have you bought anything from Amazon? Or, are you selling online? Amazon’s Global Selling is a service that allows businesses and sellers to reach customers worldwide by listing their products on Amazon’s international marketplaces. Through this program, sellers can expand their customer base and tap into the vast global e-commerce market.
Key features of Amazon’s Global Selling program include:
1. Access to Multiple Amazon Marketplaces
– Sellers can list their products on various Amazon marketplaces, such as Amazon.com (US), Amazon.co.uk (UK), Amazon.de (Germany), Amazon.fr (France), Amazon.it (Italy), Amazon.es (Spain), and more.
– This allows sellers to reach a global customer base and sell their products internationally.
2. Localized Listings and Pricing
– Sellers can create localized product listings, including translations, product descriptions, and pricing in the local currency.
– This helps to provide a seamless shopping experience for customers in different countries.
3. Fulfillment and Logistics
– Sellers can utilize Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service to store, pack, and ship their products to customers worldwide.
– FBA also handles customer service, returns, and other logistics, making it easier for sellers to manage their global operations.
4. Cross-Border Trade Expertise
– Amazon provides guidance and resources to help sellers navigate the complexities of cross-border trade, including tax regulations, customs, and shipping requirements.
– Sellers can access tools and support to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
5. Seller Performance and Analytics
– Sellers can track their sales, inventory, and performance metrics across different Amazon marketplaces.
– This data can help them make informed decisions about their global expansion and optimize their strategies.
By leveraging Amazon’s Global Selling program, businesses and sellers can expand their reach, increase their sales, and tap into the growing global e-commerce market. It provides a streamlined platform for sellers to manage their international operations and reach customers worldwide.
