Incorporated on December 9, 2024, OLIVES, Inc. has embarked on an inspiring journey that showcases the power of determination, resilience, and community. With a mission encapsulated in our slogan, “Together We Win!”, we believe that through synergy, we can champion excellence and social relevance. This article will delve into our decade-long journey and provide insights on how you can launch your own company, even as a solo entrepreneur without a sponsor.
A Vision Born from Passion
OLIVES, Inc. was founded with a vision to create a collaborative environment where individuals can thrive together – locals and internationals. Our journey began with a simple idea: to harness the power of collective effort to bring about meaningful change. Despite the challenges of starting a business alone, our commitment to our core values set the foundation for our success.
Key Steps to Launching Your Company
1. Identify Your Purpose
Every successful business starts with a clear purpose. Ask yourself: What problem do you want to solve? How can your skills and passions contribute to this solution? At OLIVES, Inc., our purpose was to foster collaboration and social impact.
2. Create a Business Plan
A well-thought-out business plan is essential. Outline your goals, target audience, revenue model, and marketing strategies. This document will serve as your roadmap and help you stay focused on your objectives.
3. Leverage Your Network
Even if you’re starting alone, don’t underestimate the power of your network. Reach out to friends, family, and former colleagues for advice, mentorship, and support. Building relationships can open doors to new opportunities.
4. Start Small, Scale Gradually
Begin with a minimum viable product (MVP) or service. This approach allows you to test your ideas without overwhelming yourself. As you gain feedback and experience, you can refine and expand your offerings.
5. Embrace Digital Tools
In today’s digital age, countless resources are available to help you manage your business. From social media marketing to project management software, leveraging technology can streamline your operations and enhance your reach.
6. Stay Committed and Adaptable
The entrepreneurial journey is filled with ups and downs. Staying committed to your vision while being adaptable to change is crucial. At OLIVES,Inc., we learned to pivot when necessary, always keeping our core values in mind.
The Power of Synergy
At OLIVES, Inc., we firmly believe that “In synergy, we champion excellence and social relevance.” Our success is not just a result of individual efforts but the collective strength of our team and community. By fostering an environment of collaboration, we have been able to achieve remarkable milestones:
Community Engagement: We initiated various programs that encourage community involvement, allowing us to give back and create a positive social impact.
Collaborative Projects: Partnering with local businesses and organizations has enabled us to expand our reach and enhance our service offerings.
Continuous Learning: We prioritize learning and development, encouraging our team to pursue new skills and knowledge that benefit both the individual and the organization.
As OLIVES, Inc. celebrates its decade-long journey, we are reminded of the power of unity and collaboration. Our slogan, “Together We Win!”, serves as a constant reminder that success is best when shared. For aspiring entrepreneurs, remember that launching a company is possible, even without a sponsor. With determination, a clear vision, and a commitment to collaboration, you can turn your dreams into reality.

Challenges Faced by OLIVES, Inc.
OLIVES, Inc. has encountered several significant challenges over the past few years that have impacted its operations, student experience, and financial stability. Below, we explore these challenges in detail.
1. Schoolbuilding Issues
Renovations and Facade Beautification
OLIVES, Inc. invested in various renovations and facade beautification projects to enhance the school environment. This included costly signboards that were intended to improve visibility and attractiveness. However, despite these efforts, the building’s leaking rooftop proved to be beyond repair.
Relocation
Faced with the deteriorating condition of the building, the owner made the difficult decision to sell the property. In 2023, OLIVES, Inc. moved to two separate buildings, which resulted in significant inconvenience for both teachers and students. The lack of a dedicated parking lot further compounded these issues, making daily commutes more challenging.
2. Future Relocation Plans
As OLIVES, Inc. plans to move to a new location in 2025, the organization faces the challenge of securing extra funds for deposits and moving expenses. This financial burden adds another layer of complexity to the transition, as it requires careful budgeting and planning to ensure a smooth relocation process.
3. Late Payment of Student Fees
Another ongoing challenge has been the late payment of student fees. To address this issue, OLIVES, Inc. has implemented a system for sending reminders to parents and guardians. However, the reliance on reminders indicates a need for more effective communication strategies and perhaps a re-evaluation of the fee structure to encourage timely payments.
4. Impact of Extreme Weather
The extreme hot summer weather conditions have led to the cancellation of classes and programs. This not only disrupts the learning experience but also affects the overall morale of students and teachers. Finding solutions to adapt to such weather challenges is essential for maintaining a consistent educational environment. No class, no cash so it affects our income!
5. Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic, which spanned from 2020 to 2023, had a profound impact on OLIVES, Inc. Many students canceled their classes during this period, resulting in significant financial losses. The pandemic highlighted the need for flexible learning options and contingency plans to mitigate the effects of unforeseen circumstances on student enrollment.
OLIVES, Inc. has faced a myriad of challenges in recent years, from building issues and financial constraints to external factors like extreme weather and the pandemic. Addressing these challenges requires strategic planning, community support, and innovative solutions to ensure the continued success and growth of the organization. By learning from these experiences, OLIVES, Inc. can better prepare for future obstacles and create a more resilient educational environment for its students and staff.
Future Projects
Looking ahead, OLIVES, Inc. is excited to explore new ventures that align with our mission:
Publishing Books: We aim to publish educational and cultural books that inspire and inform.
Olives Media Agency: This initiative will focus on creating content that promotes our values and engages our community; develop and manage social media.
TOP Center: In partnership with Triplemerge LLC, we will expand our offerings for TESOL/TEFL Certification (offering Batch 16 in February 2025) and educational tours in Europe (Autumn 2025).
Olives Tours & Travel Services: Promote Japan Tour so OLIVES, Inc. will revive the Japan Educational & Mission Exploration (JEME) and Homestay program.
