New Year tragedy for the family and concerned citizens of the unfair media coverage of the Filipina suspect by the Japanese mainstream media and social media on the murder of a Japanese couple in Adachi Ward, Tokyo on January 16, 2024. Who is feeding the news and why her whole name is already plastered all over the media?

As I was asked to report on Bombo Radyo regarding Hazel Ann Baguisa Morales, a Philippine national, who was the suspect in the murder of a Japanese couple in Adachi Ward, Tokyo on January 16, I gathered any available media coverage and even checked on various social media.

The day after my Live Report on January 19, the suspect’s relative sent messages until I arranged a group chat with the family yesterday.  What they shared is indeed contrary to what was circulated in Japanese media and social media discussions.  Hope to file even cyberbullying!  Below is my letter to the general public.

Today, January 22,  I received messages from different national and international media outlets informing me that they read my public letter.  I informed the relatives of Hazel Ann Baguisa Morales that various media would like to personally keep in touch with them.  They agreed and informed me that they were on their way to Senator Tulfo’s office and then they would go to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Hazel’s family is so serious about fighting her innocence that they seek the help of the Philippine government.  The media and “Maritesses” in Japan seem like murdered this family with many false accusations (some were noted already!).

As of writing,  GMA Network and ABS-CBN posted their related news.   I forwarded the contact of Hazel’s family to CNN Philippines, DZRH, and TV5.   Praying for fair media coverage & fair trial.
