Celebrate Women's Month: Inspire Inclusion
As we celebrate Women’s Month and mindful of the 2024 theme, Inspire Inclusion, I gave in to a personal interview with Bombo Radyo Dagupan reporters. Hope to be a voice for women, especially those who are aspiring to be Filipina Edupreneurs, too.
International Women’s Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world. In 2024, the campaign theme for this important month is “Inspire Inclusion.” This theme highlights the importance of creating a more inclusive society where women from all backgrounds are valued, respected, and given equal opportunities.
During International Women’s Month with the theme “Inspire Inclusion,” the focus is on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of life. It encourages individuals and organizations to recognize the unique experiences and perspectives of women from different cultures, races, religions, and identities. By celebrating diversity and fostering inclusivity, we can create a more equitable world where all women can thrive and reach their full potential.
Through events, initiatives, and awareness campaigns, International Women’s Month with the theme “Inspire Inclusion” aims to empower women, challenge stereotypes, and break down barriers to ensure that every woman has a seat at the table. It is a time to reflect on progress made towards gender equality, while also acknowledging the work that still needs to be done to achieve true inclusivity for all women.
Let us all come together during International Women’s Month with the theme “Inspire Inclusion” to celebrate the achievements of women, advocate for gender equality, and work towards a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
This Women’s Month, let us support the initiatives of Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC): raising awareness, advocating for change, and providing support to those affected by such atrocities. This campaign seeks to address the pervasive issue of violence that women and children face in various forms, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
*
The primary goal of this campaign is to condemn all forms of violence against women and children and to create a society where they can live free from fear and harm. It aims to educate communities about the impact of violence, empower survivors to speak out, and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
Through awareness-raising activities, educational programs, and advocacy efforts, the campaign against Violence Against Women and Children strives to change attitudes, challenge harmful stereotypes, and promote a culture of respect and equality. It also works towards improving support services for survivors, such as shelters, counseling, legal aid, and healthcare.
*
By shining a light on this critical issue and mobilizing individuals, communities, and policymakers to take action, the campaign against Violence Against Women and Children plays a vital role in creating a safer and more just society for all. Together, we can work towards ending the cycle of violence and building a future where women and children are protected, respected, and empowered to live their lives free from harm.
