Sharing with you my Amazon Japan Journey where I hope to teach more sellers someday soon — onsite and online (just like my onsite and online Olives English School with a partner institution in training people to be certified TESOL/TEFL Teachers). Indeed, this is the most challenging e-commerce marketplace now!
At this moment, I’m waiting for the pick-up/delivery company, Yamato/Kuroneko, to take the ordered books from a buyer in Osaka. It has been an exciting journey where my shop in Tokyo can supply the textbooks & workbooks of many schools and teachers around Japan. This is the very reason I joined Amazon Japan as a Seller because I used to buy learning materials for my school since Amazon USA started its branch in Japan in November 2000. Reverse role this time….I’m selling textbooks on Amazon now! I expanded to selling Japan Souvenirs and Gifts (Love Japan Omiyage) with my original creation to 13 countries with my own brand registry: OLIVES, Inc.

Would you like to be an Amazon Seller, too? If you’re in Japan, Amazon Global Selling in partnership with JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) can help promote your original products (Private Labels) in the UK and the USA markets. This is a plus factor though the language here is a big challenge that’s why I hired a local staff. Next year, we have big projects and I’ll share the details in another blog.
